Tŷ Nant is sourced from an aquifer in the hills of Ceredigion, west Wales, and is as well known for its cobalt-blue glass as for the water itself. It carries a light mineral content and a gentle natural character. The water is bottled at source in Bethania.
Dissolved solids of 165 mg/L put Tŷ Nant just into the medium band, with a pH of 6.2 from its carbonation. The light mineral load keeps the soft character described above, the bubble adding lift rather than sharpness. It is an easy table water that suits lighter dishes and works well by the glass.
